Twenty nine, not there yet

When you are Twentynine you are not there yet. Middle age has not yet started, you are no longer young adults or new adults. You are just stuck there. In the middle of nowhere. They say age bring with it wisdom, it must have misplaced it on the way. The only thing age brings is experience. What you lose along the way is close friends, if you have chosen the one closest to you she remains back. Stays awake with you and watches your favorite movies with you. I found mine few years back. What you also gain along the way are a bunch of enemies. If you haven't already, you really have not stood up for everything. One thing you learn, however, is that there are no four people interested in your life. The famous legend of four people states that there are four people interested in every detail aspect of your life, it's been twentynine years I didn't find one. So as goes the tradition what did I learn in Twentynine years? Mostly that fear does not help you solve problems....

Growing up is fun? Well, almost.

The oldest memory I have of the one dream since childhood was to grow up. If someone would ask me why exactly did I wanted to grow up, I am sure I could not answer it. Why exactly I wanted to grow up, I have no idea, but Ill tell you its not pretty. They say, age brings wisdom, I say they lie. Age just brings you better excuses to things. Every year you live in this world, you adopt to its crazy sense, you lie for living. You give our excuses for things. Some excuses are very common, like act your age or it is against religion or it is against humans but excuses are there. If being 25 is halfway there, on 26 I have crossed the threshold to what? I am not sure. Although however you convince people, you can handle it, they don't believe you. While growing up, you are led to believe that there would be a time when you are old enough, people stop telling you what to do. Turns out, just like other childhood myths like girls are not mean little girls, drinking milk is g...

Are we there yet?

When I was small people always used to tell me, you will get this when you grow up. Hey, Shaktimaan airs late night, can I watch it? No Beta, you can stay up late when you grow up. I don't want to go to school, I want to sleep late, No Beta, you can sleep late when you grow up. Or even, why can't I go to school on my cycle? Bus is so boring. Grow up, grow up grow up. To which I would finally say, ok, I want to grow up, grow up. Now, twenty five years on the planet and I ask myself is 'are we there yet?' is this what it is to be grown up? Oh well, it sucks. Now can I go back? Apparently I can't. Now, if you think about the average active partying life of adult male as fifty, after which you probably watch television late night on new years eve, you can say I am half way there. Now obviously, as I mentioned last year , twenty five is the time when your standing male life starts disintegrating. Twenty Five is the time where your parents want to see you get married ...
